REP? BAC? FOP? PSO? It can be daunting to be confronted by the "alphabet soup" of Peirce Parent Group organization initials. Nevertheless, all of them have contributed enormously to our success as a school.
The collaboration between school and home is extremely important for students to be successful. Peirce is fortunate to have parents who are engaged, supportive, and active. Moreover, parent organizations model for our students what activism is - a small act of playground cleanup by PSO inspired our students to lead a school recycling project. Similarly, the FOP has worked tirelessly to generate funds and support Peirce in continuing programs.

Parent Advisory Council (PAC)
Parent Advisory Councils are federally-mandated for all schools who receive Title I funds. PAC is a strategy-focused organization tasked with providing support to parents through workshops, resources, communications, and other training/education opportunities. Some examples include: Math workshops for parents, Safe Spaces for LGBTQIA+ workshop, "Behind the Scenes” tours of IB PYP classrooms, Restorative Practices Approach workshop for parents. With our rapidly changing / gentrifying school and the upcoming loss of the Title I funds, we will be losing PAC as a mandate. The other parent groups and community members are dedicated to picking up PACs mantle to ensure that their valued outlook and purpose is retained. You can refer to the Parents Group section of the Peirce Community Bulletin Board (English | Spanish) for more information on what PAC brings to Peirce. ------
