JOIN US FOR OUR FIRST ANNUAL FUNDRAISING BALL! Friday May 31, 2024 @ 7-10pm at Artifacts Events (4325 N Ravenswood)
The Friends of Peirce are thrilled to invite all members of the Peirce community –parents, local businesses, neighbors, alumni, and friends – for an evening filled with great music and entertainment, delicious food, a silent auction, raffle, and more…all to support our beloved community school in its mission of providing a quality education to every student. We hope you have had some time and space to help manage through this difficult time of mourning our friend and fellow Peirce student, Jayden Perkins. He was truly a special person that we know we all will continue to miss very much. Originally scheduled for Friday, April 19, we pushed it back to allow our community more time and space to grieve and process the loss of our friend and fellow Peirce student Jayden Perkins. He was a special person that we know we will all continue to miss very much.. We also hope it will give us time to think of how to incorporate celebrating Jayden during one of the first times our greater community will be together since his passing.

----- PANTHER BALL FAQ
A LETTER FROM FRIENDS OF PEIRCE PRESIDENT CHAD CURRY WITH SOME PANTHER BALL THOUGHTS
What is the Panther Ball? The Panther Ball is a community fundraising event sure to provide a fun night of food, dancing, socializing, and most importantly, the chance to raise money that will help fund the programs and resources critical to helping every student that attends Peirce, now and in the future. Peirce is the neighborhood school in a community that has undergone significant demographic shifts. Ten years ago nearly 70% of Peirce students and families lived below the poverty line, which qualified Peirce for Title I funding (federal funding for high poverty schools to support low income students). Today, 34% of Peirce students and families live below the poverty line and Peirce no longer receives the Title I funding. Events like the Panther Ball are one way we can engage the wider community in helping support Peirce students at a time it’s needed more than ever. Please consider how you can join us in supporting our great neighborhood school and take part in the Panter Ball by either attending, donating to the silent auction, or goods for the event itself. ----- When is it and where? The Panther Ball will take place on May 31 from 7-10pm CST at Artifact Events located at 4325 N. Ravenswood Ave in Chicago. ----- Who can attend? Can I bring my kids? Anyone 21+ within the Peirce Community is invited to attend – Parents, School Teachers and Staff, Relatives, Friends, Neighbors, and anyone who wants to support Peirce. Parents with kids under 21, this is your chance to enjoy a night out and leave the kids at home with a fun caregiver! ------ What is the dress code? Come in your favorite cocktail party attire. ----- How much are tickets?

----- How much are drink tickets and how can guests purchase them? Drink tickets are $10 and are available for purchase online ahead of the event or onsite at the Panther Ball. ----- How many tickets can I buy?

----- What is the Panther Ball Teacher Ticket Pool?
Donations are being collected to offer discounted tickets exclusively to Peirce Teachers, Administrators, and Staff at a price that still allows us to cover the cost of the event while raising as much money as possible for the school.
Our goal is to provide as many $50 tickets to Peirce Teachers, Administrators, and Staff who wish to attend the Panther Ball as possible, but need your help. Please consider contributing to the Teacher Ticket Pool - the more money we raise the more Teacher tickets we can offer.
On May 13 we will announce how many $50 Teacher Tickets we have available and make these available for purchase.
------ What can I expect to happen at the Panther Ball? Fun, fun, and more fun will be had in support of Peirce School. In addition to a silent auction and raffle, throughout the evening you can expect socializing while taking in fun entertainment and experiences. We are excited with how the entertainment and experiences for the Panther Ball are coming together and will have more updates soon. ------ Can I donate items for the auction and/or raffle? Absolutely, we’d love to include your donated item in the auction or raffle. Please complete this form to provide more details about the item you’d like to donate. Thank you! ----- If I can’t come in person, will there be an online auction taking place? Yes, there will be an online auction and we will share those details as we get closer to the event. ----- What kind of food will be served? Drinks? We won’t be serving dinner, but there will be a good variety of heavy appetizers with vegan and vegetarian options, as well as passed dessert bites. There will also be a full-service bar with wine, domestic and craft beer, specialty cocktails, soda, and non-alcoholic spirits available with pre-purchased drink tickets. ----- I can’t attend the Panther Ball but would love to help, is there another way I can support the event? Bummer, we’ll be sad to miss you and appreciate your interest in wanting to still support the event and Peirce School. Other ways you can help with the Panther Ball include:
Donate goods for the event, things like drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) for the bar, services, art
Donate to the auction anything you might have to offer, including big ticket items like a vacation or timeshare rental, as well as smaller but sure to be highly sought after items like local shop gift baskets, personally designed artwork and more.
Please reach out to us via this form to share what you’d like to donate. Thank you for your generous support! ----- Don’t see an answer to your question?
