Friends of Peirce (FOP) a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Helen C. Peirce School of International Studies in Chicago’s Edgewater community. We are parents & guardians, neighbors & business owners, alumni & community members to raise funds for our school.
Chicago Public Schools allocates a certain amount of money to each school in the district and does not cover some of our school's priorities the students enjoy. Programs that are important for enhancing academic excellence and improving the student experience such as:
- arts partnerships: Every grade level gets to work with an arts organization such as Raven Theatre, Black Ensemble Theatre, Playmakers Lab and more,
- field trip support: This funding will ensure that students who cannot afford field trip fees can go on these trips,
- teacher stipends: We provide up to $150 per teacher upon request to cover materials for their classrooms,
- and more.
